CareerMD will host a career-planning and networking reception in Seattle, WA on Monday, August 24, 2009. Residents and fellows from irginia Mason Medical Center, Swedish Medical Center, University of Washington School of Medicine, University of Washington School of Public Health, Northwest Colon and Rectal Clinic, Puget Sound Blood Center, Naval Hospital, Shriners Hospital of Children, and other teaching hospitals in the area are invited to attend.

CareerMD Receptions follow a more intimate format than that of the CareerMD Career Fairs. Space is limited, which provides employers with an opportunity for one-on-one discussions with trainees. Each employer is seated at a designated station to facilitate comfortable discussions with trainees.

Employers who register to participate may send two representatives. Neither booths nor tabletop displays are permitted, however handouts and giveaways are acceptable.

Reception Promotion

CareerMD promotes the Seattle Reception to all teaching hospitals that are within reasonable driving distance of the venue. Most residents and fellows who attend will be in training at local programs, however this event is widely promoted. A list of all teaching hospitals in the Seattle area can be found here.
