Each year, CareerMD hosts the Atlanta Career Fair. The first annual fair took place in 2005 and attracted residents and fellows from top teaching hospitals such as Emory, Morehouse, Atlanta Medical Center, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Center, and from programs across Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee are invited to attend the fair. In 2008, this fair attracted 102 job-seeking residents and fellows.

Career Fair Promotion

CareerMD promotes the Atlanta Career Fair to all teaching hospitals that are within reasonable driving distance of the venue. Most residents and fellows who attend will be in training at a local programs, however this event is widely promoted. A list of all teaching hospitals in the Atlanta area can be found here.

  3. August 8, 2006: attended by 138 job-seeking residents and fellows
  4. July 13, 2005: attended by 91 job-seeking residents and fellows
